Since yesterday I have owned the book Das Springpaard written by Fritz Thiedemann. A wonderful reference work. Although an old book, but still in excellent condition, it also appears to be a first edition from 1979. The original packaging is still included. Not only photos fascinate me, but also breeding, and this book fits in nicely with that. A chapter in history, but also very educational is the part about breeding at the time in, for example, Holstein, with various beautifully designed pedigrees. A very educational piece about assessing free jumping, in clear photo series. But also the training and development of horse and rider. The clear and professional language of the Olympiad rider makes this a wonderful book. Even though it is an old book, it contains so much useful information, even for today's riders. I'm very happy with it!
